About

The weather is complex.

Really, really complex. Trillions of bits of information about temperature, humidity, altitudes, time of day, terrain and more combine in to an infinitely chaotic number of combinations to give us what we simply call – the weather.

But thanks to the pioneering work of scientists like Henri Poincaré, Edward Lorenz and Robert Devaney there are ways to influence that chaos, and guide it toward more desired outcomes.

If you are interested in learning more about how Pick the Weather leverages the unbridled chaos of our atmosphere to serve your personal meteorological requests, read on!

How We Do It: The Butterfly Effect

In it’s simplest explanation, the butterfly effect states that small changes in one state of a deterministic nonlinear system can lead to dramatic changes in later states. At Pick the Weather we take advantage of the butterfly effect, applying targeted micro-changes that will influence the weather at a macro scale. It sounds rather simple, but in it takes quite a bit of quantum-phase computing power to pull it all together.

First, our proprietary quantum aggregate matrix absorbs meteorological data from all available scientific data sources. We then augment publicly available data with our own multi-tier data sourced from a private armada of land and geocentric satellites positioned in the exo-, thermo-, meso-, strato-, and troposphere. This massive data quanthos is then synthesized into a Higgs-Resonté climate array on two custom-built parallel Summit supercomputers. Their combined power provides almost 300 petaflops of processing punch strictly dedicated to analyzing, updating and distributing weather data millions of times a second, every second of every year.

All of this data is then made accessible to government, scientific and media organizations through a usage-based licensing agreement for use in airports, military operations, and even your evening news. These licensing fees are the ultimate revenue source that pays the majority of costs for the system, and allows us to offer Pick the Weather to the public free of charge.

The constantly refreshed data is then evaluated by an AI-driven derivation ‘brain’ that determines which nodes are most conducive to influence to execute the infinite number of multi-variate weather model requests that are compounded through the system. The last step is to aggregate and prioritize requests, and then initiate the nonlinear dynamic influencers for temperature, humidity, and other factors activating the proprietary nodules required to adjust the deterministic chaos that makes up our weather patterns.

Fortunately, most of this is automated and our “weather jockeys” as we like to call them, just need to tap a few buttons and we are on our way.

“The ones who are crazy enough to think they can change the weather, are the ones that do.”

Since our inception, we have felt that the power held by the leaders of nations should always be available to every person within that nation. That is why we made Pick the Weather, and we hope you find it useful as you pursue your own daily happiness.

Make it the perfect day.
